Month-long trail closures expected at Cliff Gilker Park as crews replace bridges

Visitors to Cliff Gilker Park can expect trail closures as crews work to replace bridges and improve accessibility. Crews have started milling wood on site in preparation for the bridge replacement work.

Two bridges will be replaced in the coming months and upgrades will also be made to trails and boardwalks.

The Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) shared a map of trail closures during the work and asked visitors to be aware of active construction zones.

The work is a collaboration between the SCRD and the Sunshine Coast Community Forest (SCCF). It is funded with $593,145 from Community Works Funds and $48,000 from the Sunshine Coast Community Forest.

Visitors to the park can expect trail closures for about a month starting April 15.
