BC Transit says a slight change to their regular service schedule will help residents over the holidays get to where they want to go.
According to their website, much of the area will be on a Sunday schedule for Christmas Day and Boxing Day so they say those using transit should prepare, and adjust, accordingly, to make it to their destination on time.
They add New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day will also follow the Sunday schedule, but free service will be available on Dec. 31 for those looking to celebrate the end of 2023.
Public Affairs Advisor Jamie Weiss adds decisions around service levels during the holidays are made by local government partners, who collect all fare revenue from service in their regions.
