Finally some closure today for the families of three young men who drowned after their canoe capsized into Slocan Lake on May 10, 2014.
The bodies of 21-year-old Hayden Kyle from Gibsons and 15-year-old Jules Wiltshire-Padfield and 18-year-old Skye Donnet from New Denver were recovered today.
A private search team found the bodies of the boys under about 150m of water after a search by an RCMP dive team turned up nothing.
RCMP Sergeant Darryl Little says the families have all been notified and are devastated but also relieved to have some closure.
The BC Coroners Service is taking over the investigation.
