Nanaimo RCMP say the seizure of one ounce of fentanyl should have a considerable impact on the sale and distribution of the drug in the community.

The bust came following an investigation by the Nanaimo RCMP Projects Team and it also netted 36 grams of various other illicit drugs including cocaine and methamphetamine.
Two suspects, a 45 year old man from Nanaimo and a 23 year old woman from Sidney have been arrested and face numerous count related to the possession of illicit drugs.
