The Sunshine Coast is well known for mountain biking, with hundreds of kilometers of trail and a top rated downhill venue.
Now some people in Gibsons are hoping to build a place where riders can learn the basics and practice the skills they’ll need to tackle more advanced terrain.
Alun Wooliams presented the idea of a “Skills Park” to Gibsons Council last week.
Wooliams says there are a lot of advantages to having a skill park in the town.
Council isn’t making any commitment, but they say they’re interested in pursuing the idea.
