Today (Thur) is the National Day of Mourning.
It’s an annual event held to remember those who have lost their lives on the job.

There were 2 workplace fatalities in the Cowichan Valley in 2015, one in Nanaimo and one on the Sunshine Coast.
There were 122 WorkSafe B.C. accepted work-related deaths in 2015 in B.C.
72 were the result of occupational disease.
115 of those who died were men and 7 were women.
