A 28-year-old man has been arrested after the Northridge Husky gas station on Turner Rd was robbed early Sunday morning.
It happened around 6:45am. A man wearing a mask and dressed in camouflage demanded money from till. He made off on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
RCMP used a police dog to track the suspect. About 30 minutes later, they stopped a van near McGirr Rd and Hammond Bay Rd with a man and woman inside.
They released the woman and arrested the man for robbery. He has been released from custody on a Promise to Appear, and he’ll be in court February 23rd.
Police are in the process of getting a search warrant to look for evidence in the van.
