If you want to get your hands dirty for Earth Day, you can help plant trees near Nanaimo Sunday morning.
Mosaic Forest Management is hosting a Tree Planting Party, giving people a chance to plant trees, enjoy a free hot dog, and learn about reforestation.
If you do plan to attend, dress for the weather and wear hiking boots or sturdy footwear.
The drop-in event runs from 9 am to 2 pm, at the junction of Harewood Mines Road and Nanaimo Lakes Road, opposite the Animal Control building. Mosaic asks people to park on Harewood Mines Road.
