Sunshine Coast man faces multiple charges in break and enter 

One man is in custody after RCMP were called out to an early morning break and enter from the Canadian Tire in Wilson Creek. 

Police say the incident took place at 3:30 a.m. on April 16 at the Canadian Tire at 4380 Sunshine Coast. 

According to a media release, police responded within minutes of getting the call where they observed Lukas Kenworthy (Luke Carter), 24, flee the scene shortly after they arrived.  

They add after a foot chase they were able to Kenworthy, who police say is no stranger to their detachment.  

According to police, Kenworthy has been charged with break and enter, obstructing police, and assaulting a police officer. They say a grey KIA Sedona was located at the scene which is believed to have been stolen and used in the crime.

Sunshine Coast RCMP says if anyone has any information, or video surveillance, they are asked to contact their detachment at 604-885-2266.
