The Rotary Club of Nanaimo is hosting their twice-a-year book sale to support avid readers and raise money for programs in the community.
According to a media release, the book sale happens in the spring and fall of each year and has raised over one million dollars to provide grants for local organizations to provide programs to seniors and low-income families.
Funds also help provide international support for projects including literacy, food security, health services and drinking water, disaster relief and the environment.
The book sale will be hosted at the Nanaimo North Town Centre until Apr. 14 with books costing $2.50 for paperbacks and $3.00 for children’s books and cookbooks and all other books.
