City of Nanaimo names interim CAO

The City of Nanaimo is now officially between Chief Administrative Officers (CAO).

This follows previous CAO Jake Rudolph’s last day on the job Wednesday, as he heads towards retirement. Rudolph had held the position since 2018 and announced the end of his professional career in April 2023.

“The City thanks Mr. Rudolph for his service to the community, and wishes him a very happy retirement,” says Nanaimo in a news release.

The City’s General Manager of Parks, Recreation and Culture, Richard Harding, will step in as acting-CAO until a new permanent candidate has been found.
