Nanaimo RCMP are explaining why they had to block off an area around Black Diamond Drive on Sunday afternoon.
RCMP say they were called to a home around 4:00pm because of reports of distraught man. Shortly after arriving on the scene, officers heard a gunshot.
The area was closed down and the Emergency Response Team was brought in. The ERT went into the house around 6:00pm and found a man dead.
RCMP say they’ve turned the case over to Coroners Service and won’t be releasing any other details.
