Campfires are permitted within the Pender Harbour Fire Protection District.
The big reason the campfire ban has been lifted is all the wet weather in the area recently.
However, while small fires are allowed, people are asked to restrict these fires to no more than half a metre in any direction.
You are also asked to have a water supply or tools available to help extinguish a campfire.
Open fires are still prohibited.
