Fortis is working to ensure gas meters are operating as they should and pilot lights, that may have gone out, are lit.
That’s after a gas main in a West Sechelt neighborhood was damaged yesterday (Tues).
The damage happened at the intersection of Baillie Road and Derby Road.
The construction work is part of the Derby Road extension project being completed by the Silverstone Development.
All properties north and east of the Derby Road and the Baillie Road intersection were impacted.

Fortis BC is visiting each house today to make sure gas meters are properly reset and all pilot lights are relit.
The exact timing of the restoration of gas is unknown.
