Lots of changes to keep in mind for BC Ferries riders. Some routes in our area are switching to the shoulder season schedule Thursday, and Ferries is putting on extra sailings for the Victoria Day long weekend.
Darin Guenette of BC Ferries says we should expect traffic to be very busy right through until Tuesday. He also says this is pretty much the start of the peak season for Ferries.
There are 10 extra sailings on the Horseshoe Bay – Langdale route and 13 on the Horseshoe Bay – Nanaimo run. The first are scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
The shoulder season schedules will run to June 24th. And, an extra note for Sunshine Coast travellers, the change in ferry schedules also means a change to the Transit schedule to match. You can download the new schedule here.
