Sechelt Councillors toured the new, multi-million dollar, waste water treatment plant recently, and one of them says “doubters” ought to take the tour as well.
The $24-million project has been controversial in some quarters not only for the cost, but the technology, which is a first of its kind in North America.
Councillor Chris Moore thinks opponents would have their minds changed if only they went to see it.
The project remains on budget and on schedule for an opening late this year, although a contingency set aside to cover any unexpected costs has mostly been used up.
The next public tour is set for May 16th.
