Since the town of Gibsons launched their weekly curbside organic waste pick up program at the beginning of the month, most residents are on board.

Town spokesperson Elizabeth Quayle says there haven’t been too many hiccups but there is one thing she wants the public to be aware of.

Quyale says the town wants to send out the message of “if in doubt, throw it out”.

More than 100 people have applied to opt out of the program and the town is still reviewing those applicants to see if they qualify to opt out or not.
