A small community like the Town of Gibsons could have different regulations once the sale of non-medical cannabis is legal.
That’s why Mayor Wayne Rowe is being cautiously optimistic. Rowe says although they’ll be using a wait and see approach, town staff will begin their work immediately.
Rowe says there are already some dispensaries operating in the town and it’ll be up to council to decide if those shops should be in specific zones going forward.
