Staff from the Town of Qualicum Beach are looking for a stolen traffic counter.
RCMP say it was stolen sometime between last Saturday and Tuesday.
The counter is a grey box that was fastened to a sign post in the community.
It’s manufactured by DataCollect and is valued at 8,000 dollars.
Mounties say it is unknown why thieves would have interest in the device as its use is so specific, however, Town Staff and the taxpayers of Qualicum Beach are very interested in getting it back.
