Habitat for Humanity seeks community support for provincial funding opportunity

Habitat for Humanity Sunshine Coast is reaching out to the community for their support.

The province is currently in a consultation process where they’re asking organizations and local governments what the priorities should be for the upcoming budget.

Cory Lynn Germiquet,  Executive Director the Sunshine Coast Habitat for Humanity says they have submitted a request to the government so more affordable housing can be built.

Germiquet says due to the province’s support and investment last year, Habitat for Humanity quadrupled their builds throughout the province last years and managed to meet the needs for more affordable housing in BC.

Time is of the essence however as the letters of support have to be submitted before Monday. (Oct 16th)
