Savings come back to school boards

The Sunshine Coast School District will see a little better than 182,000 dollars returned to them while the Nanaimo Ladysmith School District will get 593,000 dollars.
This as the Provincial Government redirects some additional funding to school districts across the province.

Minister of Education Mike Bernier says districts will have the flexibility to use the funding to provide services for students…

BC School Trustees Association president Teresa Rezansoff says she’s pleased that local trustees will have flexibility in how to spend those funds…

The money is equal to the administrative savings that districts were asked to find during the budget process.
