The Dakota Ridge Winter Recreation Area on the Sunshine Coast is opening Friday.
Parks Planner Sam Adams says conditions look very promising.
Adams says they’ll be opening approximately 20 kilometers of cross country ski trails, 8 kilometers of groomed snowshoe trails, and an improved sledding hill for kids.
Adams says helmets are recommended but not required for kids when sledding.
You should have 4 wheel drive on your vehicle and chains before venturing up to Dakota Ridge.
