Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has appointed West Vancouver Sunshine Coast MP Pam Goldsmith-Jones
as a Parliamentary Secretary.
Goldsmith-Jones will serve as secretary to Foreign Affairs Minister Stephane Dion.
In his announcement, Trudeau praises Goldsmith-Jones for her “open and inclusive approach to the creation and implementation of public policy”.
Parliamentary Secretary posts are often seen as stepping stones to cabinet portfolios.
