When Premier Christy Clark heads to China next month, she’ll be joined for at least part of her trip by the Mayor of Nanaimo and the Chair of the Nanaimo Economic Development Corporation.
NEDC Chair Andre Sullivan says it’s a great opportunity to build relationships with potential investors.
Sullivan says they’ll be spending time in a number of Chinese communities where they’ve already built some bridges, including Shenzhen and Shanghai.
He says they’ll be inviting business leaders they meet to visit Nanaimo to check out investment opportunities. He says there are many opportunities, from vacant lots available for development to major projects in need of financial support.
The Premier’s trip is taking place between November 3rd and November 11th.
