Fresh look at reno plan for St. Mary's could affect timing

The Chair of the Sunshine Coast Regional District says there could be some changes before the final phase of the St. Mary’s Hospital project is completed.

With the new tower at the hospital in Sechelt open, the last part of the 44 million dollar project involves renovations to the older part of the building.

But Garry Nohr says Vancouver Coastal Health now wants to take a fresh look at what those renovations ought to be.  He says they’ll soon be announcing details.

Nohr says the don’t expect it will affect the budget, but it will likely affect the timing pushing completion of the project into late 2015 or early 2016.

Nohr made the comments on Coast TV’s Talk to Your Local Government.
