Nanaimo RCMP looking for stolen luggage

Nanaimo RCMP are asking for help identifying a woman who stole a suitcase from the Duke Point ferry terminal on Sunday.

It belonged to a woman travelling from Tsawwasssen to Swartz Bay, but her luggage was sent to Duke Point by mistake.

A woman was seen on video surveillance around 3pm picking up the victim’s blue suitcase, and then getting into the passenger side of a newer model, black van.

The suspect is decribed as First Nations, heavy set, with glasses and her hair in a bun. She was wearing a long multi-coloured sun dress with a beige shirt underneath. She was also carrying her own black bag.

If you have information, please contact Constable Shane Desjardines at 250-754-2345 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
