The Sunshine Coast’s cold weather homeless shelter needs to raise some cash. And they’re hoping one last push will get them through the end of the winter season.
Gibsons Councillor Lee Ann Johnson is part of the coalition working to keep the shelter open every night until the end of March. She says they’ve been on a shoestring because the province only pays for openings on “extreme weather” nights. Generally that’s only when temperatures drop below zero
