The Sunshine Coast Regional District has appointed Tina Perreault as its full time Chief Administrative Officer.
Perreault has been the interim CAO since May of last year.
The SCRD says she has been with the finance division since 2008 and became the regional district’s Chief Financial Officer in 2011, and General Manager of Corporate Services in 2016.
In the search for a new CAO, SCRD board chair Alton Toth says they had more than 40 candidates, and after two rounds of interviews, Perreault was the unanimous choice.
Toth says that as a long-time member of the community, she knows the challenges and opportunities in the region and the board is confident her leadership will help the area continue to grow and thrive.
Perreault replaces Dean McKinley, who officially resigned as CAO as of August 30, 2024 after being on leave for more than three months.
