Nanaimo residents will have more options for heading to Gabriola Island, as BC Ferries is adding two new sailings to the route.
The ferry-line says the decision was made to improve the frequency of Friday night sailings on the Nanaimo Harbour – Gabriola Island route for the summer.
The new sailings will leave Nanaimo Harbour at 5:40 pm, and Gabriola Island at 6:15 pm every Friday from July to August.
As part of the change, these sailings will replace the morning ones leaving Gabriola at 7:05 am and Nanaimo Harbour at 7:35.
