23 British Columbians, including two local residents, have been invested in the Order of British Columbia in Victoria
Lt.-Gov. Judith Guichon says the group exemplifies the positive difference one person can make in a community and inspires all British Columbians.
The locals who joined the order Tuesday are: Â Roger Barnsley, of Parksville, who’s being recognized for his work as an educator and founding president of Thompson Rivers University, and Dana Brynelsen of Halfmoon Bay, who’s being honoured as a visionary in the field of early childhood intervention for people with special needs.
