A Sunshine Coast couple is hoping for some help rolling a thousand hippos, and the fact these hippos are easy to roll is what makes them so special.
The hippo is a water carrier that’s being used to help villagers in developing countries, especially in Africa.
Luke Vorstermans of Gibsons says women and children often have to fetch water from a great distance. On a recent trip to Africa, he and his wife were impressed with how much easier the hippos made it.
Vorstermans says they’re hoping to raise the money to buy 1000 hippos before the end of the year. They’ve set up a foundation to take donations, and they’ll be out and about at events and festivals all summer rolling their hippo so people can see how it works. Find out more online!
