Mixed news for local skiers heading into the Christmas break.
The Sunshine Coast Regional District has opened Dakota Ridge, but only two trails: Sechelt main and Squamish. The sledding area is also open and so is the Warming Hut.
They’re still waiting for more snow before they can open the full network, including the snowshoe trails.
At Mount Washington the base is still to shallow to allow for downhill skiing, but the resort says it has been able to open the Tube Park.
