VI AHA heading into first weekend games since banning abusive parents

Fans of the Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association are happy abusive parents are being penalized for their actions.

South Island vice president Steve Moir (moyer) says the association has gotten several thank you emails after recently banning eight parents from games around the island.

He says hopefully the bans have sent a message to parents about what is acceptable and what isn’t at the arena.

Moir says the ban is usually for one game..but the association can up the ante if any problems persist.
