Sunshine Coast RCMP say in the wake of two serious accidents on the same part of Highway 101 they’re working with the Ministry of Transportation to see if changes are needed.
Yesterday, a 64 year old woman was seriously hurt when she lost control of her vehicle near Hill Road, north of Sechelt. A young woman is still in hospital after an accident in that same area on September 29th.
Both accidents happened in rainy conditions.
Constable Harrison Mohr speaks for Sunshine Coast RCMP.
There have also been less serious accidents on that part of the highway in the past couple of years.
It’s not clear when MOTI might go ahead with safety improvements.
