RDN will host run in honour of Terry Fox

The Regional District of Nanaimo will host a Terry Fox Run to raise funds for cancer research.

The annual event honours the legacy of Canadian hero Terry Fox and invites families to walk, run, roll or ride at Rathtrevor Beach.

It will be hosted on Sept. 20 and the RDN encourages participants to register in advance.

Registration is also available at the event, starting at 9 a.m. The run begins at 10 a.m.

“The route is bicycle and stroller friendly, and refreshments will be at the finish line for participants. Event T-shirts will be available for purchase and there will also be a memory table where participants can honour loved ones touched by cancer by writing their names on “I’m Running For” stickers and adding them to the tribute board,” the RDN says.
