The District of Sechelt says all residents need to be careful of what they’re putting in their blue bins or there could be consequences.
According to the district, following proper procedures will reduce contamination and failure to abide by regulations could result in a risk of fines and/or your collection not being picked up for that week.
The district says residents should refrain from putting soft plastic like packaging, produce bags, zipper bags, books, hard ridge plastics, and electronics into their blue bin.
For more information on what goes into a blue bin across the district, they ask you to refer to the Waste Wizard if anyone is unsure about what to include.
