Former city hall managers seeking redress

Brad McRae, the former chief operations officer for Nanaimo has submitted a human rights complaint against the City.

McRae says his rights were violated when the City held a termination hearing without him being present and then fired him without cause.

McRae was fired while on medical leave in January.

He wants to be reinstated.

It’s the second case where a city manager is feeling their firing was unjust.

The City’s former manager of bylaws, regulation and security, Rod Davidson is looking to take the City to court.
