Gibson’s council has a full plate tomorrow night

Councillors with the Town of Gibsons will get an update on the activities of the Harbour Authority tomorrow night (Tues, March 15).

They will also consider a Smoking Control Bylaw that would ban smoking in several public places, all restaurant and pub patios and establish up to a 9.5-metre buffer zone from businesses’ doors and windows.

Council will talk about the potential for cluster housing in Charman Creek Lands and White Tower Park.

Also on the agenda, council will get a report from the director of planning with regards to height restrictions of buildings within the community. Some of that discussion stems from the George Hotel and Residences project and the Seaglass project.
