A familiar face in local government circles on the Sunshine Coast will be joining the District of Sechelt; at least for a while.
Bill Beamish, a former Chief Administrative Officer in Gibsons, and past interim CAO for Sechelt, is going to take on that role again as of January 1st while the District searches for a permanent replacement for the outgoing Ron Buchhorn.
The figures around Bucchorn’s settlement were released at this week’s Council meeting. He’s not getting a severance payment, but is leaving with a $25,000 bonus. The District also offered a 4 month contract, to end May 31st, at $15,500/mo.
