Spreading the 5-2-1-0 message in Nanaimo

Six local university students are spreading the 5-2-1-0 message in Nanaimo.
The program is aimed at all ages and promotes guidelines for healthy living, those being, to eat five vegetables and fruit daily, to allow no more than two recreational hours of screen time daily, to play actively for one hour or more daily and to choose zero sugary drinks.
Tara Fedosoff says it’s an easy concept to teach and remember….
She says the most difficult part of the challenge for people seems to be the screen time…..
Fedosoff says the students are taking the message out to a number of schools, boys and girls clubs, seniors centres and people attending a variety of First Nations facilities.
