A man who stole a number of poppy donation boxes in Nanaimo is heading to jail.
49-year-old Anthony Britt has been sentenced to five months in jail.
When Nanaimo RCMP circulated a photo of Britt caught in the act in an attempt to track him down, they quickly received numerous tips from the community.
Britt has been in custody since he was arrested on November 10th, after stealing four poppy donation boxes.
He did not receive credit for the 14 days served in custody prior to his court appearance on Tuesday.
