Nanaimo woman walks away with $150k Scratch and Win prize

A Nanaimo woman can now realize her dream of a trip to Holland after winning $150,000 on a Scratch and Win Ticket.

The BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) says Shelley Loeffen bought her ticket from the Woodgrove Centre on Island Highway in memory of a dear friend who passed away.

When she found out she had won the prize, she couldn’t believe it.

“I thought it was a dream,” said Loeffen.

After realizing that she wasn’t dreaming, she shared the news with her friends and family, saying they were shocked and happy for her.
