Election 2014: Nanaimo Ladysmith/Sunshine Coast School Districts

Several  incumbents are out, including Chair Dot Neary, after Saturday night’s elections in School District 68.  Winning seats at the table were “Save Cedar Schools” advocates Steve Rae, Scott Kimler and Stephanie Higginson.  Community advocate, and founding head of the Colliery Dam Park Preservation Society, Jeff Solomon has also been elected.

In School District 46 (Sunshine Coast) there’s only going to be one new face at the Board table, after Silas White decided to make a run for Town Council in Gibsons (where he won).  Pammila Ruth will represent Gibsons.
