CPC select candidate for Nanaimo Ladysmith

The Conservative Party of Canada has officially announced their next representative in the Nanaimo Ladysmith riding for the next federal election.

Constituents gathered yesterday at the Nanaimo Fish and Game Centre to welcome Tamara Kronis as a candidate and voiced their concerns for the riding.

Kronis says engagement is a strong part of her platform and she is hoping more people voice their concerns.

“I am really excited about running,” she says. “I am ready to talk to everyone, we want people to feel heard.”

Kronis ran in the last federal election where she was defeated by NDP Lisa Marie Barron by close to 1,300 votes in 2021. She says this time around the results will be different.

“We have a fantastic team, and politics is a team sport,” Kronis says. “We’re hitting the ground running.”

Conservative Party of Canada deputy leader Melissa Lantsman says Kronis is the ideal candidate and fully endorses her for the role.

“She smart and has a great team behind her,” Lantsman says. “She is in a great riding.”
