RCMP are investigating a suspicious vehicle fire after a stolen SUV was fully engulfed near the Timberland Pub.
Police say they were called to the scene on May 31 just after 10:30 p.m. The vehicle was on the side of the road in the eastbound lane of Timberland Road in Ladysmith.
Staff Sgt. Kris Clark says an investigation is still underway. “We are treating it as suspicious and until the investigation is complete, we can’t release any more information,” said Clark.
Officers added no one is believed to have been in the vehicle at the time of the blaze.
