35 year-old Protection Island homeowner Agnes Provost has lived in Nanaimo for three years, and owns an art business.
We asked Provost ‘what do you see as the prime issue in Nanaimo and how would you handle it?’
“I feel the biggest issues are crime and wellness. That includes having the community come together by a website where we can submit citizen footage if a crime occurs and ultimately help reduce the catch and release.
Wellness includes advocating for rehab center’s, mental health facilities, and increase in doctors and medical care. This also includes programs that empower the individuals of the city. “
