Charges have been laid after a fatal car crash in May of last year.
50-year-old Colin Hewett was arrested at his home last Monday and subsequently released on bail pending his court date later this month.
Hewett is charged with Dangerous Driving Causing Death, Impaired Driving Causing Death, and Impaired Operation over .08 Causing Death.
The crash claimed the life of one 74-year-old woman at the intersection of Cranberry Ave and the Trans Canda Highway.
There’s no word as to the reason behind the lag time between the incident and the arrest.
