An act of vandalism will have fewer kids jumping for joy over the next few months in Parksville.
The city says the in-ground trampolines at the Lions Ventureland Playground in their community park have been damaged.
One trampoline had the rubber mesh cut through completely and has been removed. A second trampoline has cut marks on it and will be observed by staff for further damage.
The estimated cost to replace the webbing on both trampolines is over $6,000.
The city says, “These well-used trampolines are a unique part of the playground, and it is disappointing they are once again not available to children due to vandalism.”

It has been reported to Oceanside RCMP who are investigating further.
