Summer Playground Program kicks off in Nanaimo

Nanaimo’s Summer Playground Program is going into its first full week.
It runs until August 22nd and rotates through various parks including (but not limited to) Country Hills, Departure Bay and Harewood.
It’s designed to appeal to families with music, crafts, games and Science in the Park with the Nanaimo Science and Sustainability Society.
Deb Beck of the City’s Parks Department says once again this year they’re working with the Nanaimo Foodshare Society.
The Summer Playground Program goes Monday to Friday from 10am to 3:30 in the afternoon, and it’s free.  You can find out more here.
