Nanaimo’s Fire Chief says they’re hitting their targets when it comes to response times in most parts of the city.
But Chief Craig Richardson says Nanaimo Fire Rescue is still unable to arrive within the critical-6 minute window in four areas.
Richardson says they’re working on a new service model for 2015, and part of it will be looking how they respond to calls.
He says they’ll study revising their paid-on call program, and their response to emergency medical services, through talks with stakeholders.
